DRAWING | Where and Now
Drawing is playfulness. This playfulness is at the core of the basic human need of constantly imposing his will of change on the surrounding environment.
Drawing is also language, the first in which we learn to consciently follow our thoughts, a paper reflexion of our understanding of the world in a certain moment.
Translating reality in this way can be fun, relaxing and enjoyable, a wanderer’s journey through oneself. The line is a tool of delimitation between the relevant part of each one’s experience and the rest, a way of bringing to light an essential aspect of the personality. We choose to be storytellers through lines and shapes.
This exhibition brings together 19 artists which, despite their creative explorations of other mediums, use drawing as an essential instrument of expressing themselves – the border between explaining and suggesting.
