Movie screening: Design is a Verb
2 March, 2019, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Design is a verb is a research in the form of a film about what takes shape from the thought of international designers which constitute reference and meaning for Leftloft. The film follows the training journey of a young designer. It represents the questions, responsibilities and desires that define the identity of a profession, accompanying it with the contributions and responses of exponents of the independent design scene.
Design is a verb is a film on the concreteness of the project, on its being action well beyond the final result. His path brings out the value of every choice that is made: in fact, designing is to choose: “planning has to do with something that you do not know because it does not yet exist: it has to do with the future.” After twenty years of work, in which the image society has increased the role of design, Leftloft wonders how designers can effectively enter the public debate and what are the possible borders and contaminations of design practice.
