Jay Bliss is Iulian Cazan, a Bucharest-based DJ and producer who became involved with music just before the turn of the millennium, during a time when Romania’s underground scene was only beginning to emerge. Growing up in Sibiu, Transylvania, he organized weekly underground mobile raves between 2000 and 2002, playing an active role in shaping the early local scene.
Jay Bliss is Iulian Cazan, a Bucharest-based DJ and producer who became involved with music just before the turn of the millennium, during a time when Romania’s underground scene was only beginning to emerge. Growing up in Sibiu, Transylvania, he organized weekly underground mobile raves between 2000 and 2002, playing an active role in shaping the early local scene.
He soon learned to DJ and secured a residency at Club Chill Out, a 300-capacity venue that gained cult status across Romania. Playing all-night sets every Wednesday until 2008, Iulian became a respected and well-known selector, also warming up for international guests on weekends when available. This period marked a formative stage in his career.
Alongside Markus Homm, he co-founded Electrique Boutique in 2004, one of Romania’s first record stores. Although it closed in 2006 due to the scene’s early-stage limitations, the experience proved valuable, helping him build musical knowledge and key industry connections. Around this time, he began touring internationally, presenting a sound rooted between house and techno with strong Detroit influences, and later signed with Sunrise Booking.
Iulian began experimenting with production in the late ’90s while studying computer science and took it seriously by 2005. His first release appeared in 2008 as part of the Hermannstadt Collective, followed by his debut solo EP on Smoke City Music. Subsequent releases included a 2012 EP with a Petre Inspirescu remix and the 2017 LP Vrăjitorul din Orz.
By 2026, he has released extensively as Jay Bliss, under his dub techno alias Iovan Iorgovan, and through labels such as Berg Audio, Rawax, Acidwax, and Kontakt Records, alongside releases on his own Stomping Grounds imprint. Founded around 2013, Stomping Grounds focuses on timeless, detail-driven dance music, while its sister label Vade Mecum explores deeper, atmospheric, dub-influenced house and techno.

Dynamic Bones is the collaboration between Georj and Obrini, two artists brought together by a shared curiosity for electronic music in all its forms. Their sound is constantly shifting, shaped by different scenes, moods, and influences, and never tied to a single genre.

Known for their fluid DJ sets and hands-on studio approach, Dynamic Bones have played across Romania, with shows in Bucharest, Craiova, Cluj, and Brașov, becoming a familiar presence on the local circuit. Along the way, they’ve shared the booth with a mix of international and local artists such as Ethel, Alice Caroline, Luc Ringeisen, Niixii, Romain FX, as well as Romanian names including Cristi Cons, Roby (Premiesku), Kozo, Jay Bliss, Dan Andrei, and Cap.
On the production side, they recently released their third EP, Coordinates of Silence, available as a limited vinyl-only release. Beyond their own project, Georj and Obrini also run and manage Swiftness Records, a vinyl-focused label centered on functional, club-ready music.
