Dávid Hences or “H e n c z m a n” from the heart of Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca, started to play violin at the age of 6, and the piano at the age of 12.
Classical training, a focus for many years, pushed his playing to extreme technical heights. Seeking to broaden his palette, David moved towards more improvisation based styles such as jazz, folk, fusion, gypsy manouche, jazz-rock. He has since played in many different projects/bands ( X Y Z, Cat Skellingon, Café Gitan, Sense, Phoria, Plastic Mermaids ) all over the world as a violinist or a singer covering many genres, always bringing his finely tuned ear and his own style.
Original electronic / electro-acoustic compositions are now his major focus, and the heart and energy he puts into his music are not to be missed.
