Astro Générale’s story began in 2018 when Alex (guitar, synth) and Florin (drums) stumbled upon Vlad’s (vocals, guitar) hidden gem of a SoundCloud profile. Vlad, hailing from Arad but living in Timișoara, soon became a part of their musical journey. The band found its home in Oradea and welcomed Oscar (bass, synth) into the fold. Together, they’ve been bringing Vlad’s compositions to life, bonding over music and shared experiences.
This connection not only sparked new songs but also inspired their unique name during an unforgettable night in a Paris bar. Astro Générale is all about musical exploration, blending retro-futuristic and psychedelic sounds with the groovy disco feel of the ’70s. They add their twist with post-punk revival and indie influences, creating a sound that perfectly reflects each band member’s personality.
The band released its first EP, called “ONE”, in 2022.
