What is Catch A Smile Day?
Catch A Smile Day is when we encourage people to hunt smiles from the people walking on the streets by doing something nice for them, like giving them a flower or a balloon. The concept started when we identified that people walking on the streets rarely smile, because they are often worried or in a hurry.
Every year on the 7th of August the event takes place world wide. Our mission statement is: “It doesn’t matter where you are, where you are from, how you look, we can all catch a smile together.”
Exactly what to do on Catch A Smile Day?
We encourage you to do a nice gesture on this day like offering flowers to women on the streets, give candies, balloons or other things to children, hug people, compliment them or anything else that crosses your mind.
Film the gesture and send us the movie. We’ll make the global after-movie with all the smiles.
Target:
This year`s target is for Catch A Smile Day to take place in 40 cities from Romania, 15 from Europe, and 3 from USA. Last year’s first edition took place in 11 cities from Romania and 6 from Europe.
